NZ thrash India by 8 wickets in what was a bit less intimidating version of what England did to Australia yesterday.

India will need to win all 3 of their remaining games to qualify for the semi’s now, while the Black Caps are in with a shout.

And hope that Afghanistan beat NZ. And hope that they finish with a better NRR than both Afghanistan and NZ. Looking very bleak for them.

(That's assuming NZ and Pakistan both beat Scotland and Namibia.)

The amusing thing is all of their players finished the IPL in these grounds last month so they should have known the conditions well and therefore they had less adapting to do than the other teams. They've been pathetic.
 
Run scoring a little different today, compared to the game against Australia.
When Jos Buttler scores the slowest T20 half century (50 off 45) by an England player, it shows the pitch is a tad dodgy.
 
That’s a competitive total, and you have to think that even if SL do chase it down, they won’t put too much of a dent in England’s NRR.
