A lead of 150 would be very difficult to chase down. 120-130 may be enough. Not easy to bat on no doubt but too many loose shots early in an innings doesn't help either. What's a decent score here? 100? 125?
Warwickshire still chipping away, Azhar Ali was a big wicket earlier on. Looks like it's all falling into place for them unfortunately, needs Davies, Gregory & Overton to get them past the follow-on and then try to get the deficit under 100. The Bears will have to bat quickly and take chances, you never know there might be a second innings collapse on the cards?!
As far as I can tell, Somerset have nothing to play for - They're already last in Div 1, and I don't think that a win will improve things. As such, Somerset can slow down their innings, block everything, and stay in as long as possible, in other words bat out for a draw. As such, Warwickshire may be unable to beat Somerset, simply because Somerset are not interested in getting a result. At least, that's what I'm hoping will happen. # Straw clutching
We really need Somerset to post a first innings score north of 300 at the very least. Make Warks have to bat longer in their 2nd innings. We basically did exactly that to Warks 10 years ago. Batted them into a draw, and it handed Lancs the title.
Could be something similar this time.
