Huge credit for Hales in sticking in there. But I'm saying that Rashid's innings was more important. He was the only one who could play spin. Hales was something of a beneficiary of Stokes' dreadful captaincy and dropped catch (I think the latter was the only boundary which Hales scored vs spin).

Yes, if Stokes holds that catch it’s game over, no question. Rashid Khan was the difference, which makes it even stranger that Parkinson didn’t bowl instead of Willey.
Alsop in for Scriven only change from Essex game. Only one change but significantly strengthens us.
Considering his strike rate it does beg the question why Alsop was dropped from the T20 team.
Not the most glamourous 34 you'll ever see, but Prest did his job. We've got an excellent platform to build a big innings now.
As Brendy said, he loves the 50 over format. His game just suits it down to the ground.
