As impressive as Overton is (and he really is), I've never got the impression that being smart is high on his list of qualities. Same for Jamie.
 
Looking at the previous results at Taunton it looks like Somerset are below par even with Smeed's late runs.
 
Blooming impressive to make 172 when your 3rd highest score is 9!

Unless Vince or Short get going, I fear they have 15+ too many for us.

If 185 wasn't enough against Essex I struggle to see how 172 will be enough here. Pitch looks good to bat on, plus we've got CDG who's a clear upgrade on Dawson, particularly in the power department.
 
Kent as such strange side. They score billions of runs in the powerplays, and then blow up.
 
Both of us have fallen into the same trap of giving our opener a third over, after two good opening ones.
