I would assume CDG will come in as a straight swap for Dawson tomorrow, with Wood in for Stevenson. Personally I think we'll have a greater balance to our line up. Pretty much solely relying on Crane in the spin department but Dawson wasn't exactly producing great figures with the ball.

I wouldn't be sure about Stevenson dropping out. Don't forget that having CDG means no Abbott. So Wood for Abbott, with Stevenson keeping his place, must be pretty likely. Unfortunately.

I know basically nothing about Prest or Albert - although my friend who plays in the Hampshire league says that Prest is promising - but one of them will surely have to make their debut. Both are batsmen apparently, and there's no Alsop in the squad. (I'm not against dropping Alsop, but I thought we'd replace him with Northeast.)

The alternative to them both is Currie. But that would only leave us with the openers, followed by Weatherley, McManus, CDG and Fuller. No top six should have Lewis AND Fuller it. Especially not with someone like Currie as high as no.7.

Prest is a batsman - I doubt a bowler could score a triple century like he did a few weeks back. :)

Yeah my mate mentioned that innings to me.

Whichever one of them plays, I hope they go well. We really don't have much recent history of top young batters coming through.

With CDG in it makes sense to field first. Especially as we made a complete mess of defending 215 last time out.
