Does make you wonder how the Ashes would have gone last year, had Sibley been picked ahead of Roy. Even with Roy, we still got a draw...

Arguably the two stand-out four day batsmen last year were Sibley and Labuschagne...
Yeah, as brilliant as Roy is in limited overs, our batting line up may as well have consisted of 10 men.

We seem to be heading in the right direction, it will take time and younger players will make mistakes, but we have the makings of a very good team.

A question for you cricket aficionados: if the second new ball isn’t taken until 93 overs have been bowled, when is the third one due?

I can't believe Sibley is getting stick on the BBC live text page. His job is to stay in not to be flash. He's doing a really good job.

Well said . We moan when we don't have someone disciplined enough to dig in , then when we do , we moan about that as well :steam:

They should have made the cricket free to watch, like the football.

They only made the matches which were not otherwise to be televised free to watch. The matches which Sky and BT paid for, remained under subscription. Likewise with the test matches.

Well that's 100 times worse than Lyon's missed run-out. (100 times less important, mind you.)

I'd have blamed Joe if he hadn't reviewed the first one, because it looked plumb.

I don't blame Joe for not reviewing that second one, because for all money it looked like bat first.
