They were saying on TMS that some players ruined it for the majority ( always the way ) But that the umpires were to weak .
Agree! It was always a bit suspicious when a player, not noted for his speed between the wickets, suddenly “tweaked” something and required a runner - choosing a speedster to run for him
I preferred the Gordon Greenidge approach. Remember watching him batting when he could hardly run due to an injury, so he just smashed the bowlers for boundaries!
England started well, but had to keep taking wickets. Target too small to let it drift. Definitely 40-50 runs short.
We're still going to lose . Their highest scorer from the first innings is still to come in .....
Or win. When Greenidge and Roberts were playing, I was very much for the Windies. I still am.

Well done West Indies but England were also the architects of their own downfall through their team selection, toss choice and inept batting display in the first innings.
We have to start dropping / rotating Broad and Anderson don’t we if we want to look to the future ?

PS: I don't disagree with you. Is there a place for Curran, at whose expense I daré not print but if England did leave this guy out it might allow Root to be his own man and for England to act as a team.
