It's a shame that we can't sub Burns for Denly half way through each test. We'd have one mighty fine opener.

I won't be missing our batting this summer, but I will miss Broad bowling to Aussie left handers. Beauty.
 
Basically it comes down to Smith as to whether Gower and Botham's careers with Sky finish today or tomorrow. I won't miss Botham, but I will miss Gower. I'd like it if BBC signed him up, but I suspect they'd be looking at someone younger (and more likely to be interested in short form cricket, given the live t20 and 100 matches which the BBC will have as from next year).
 
All that work to see off Archer, and you get out to Root.

Should be all over tonight now.

England winning the World Cup and Somerset doing the double would make this one of the best ever for me. Shame about the Ashes but a good fight back by England.
