I'm sure they ideally wouldn't want India to win. But beggars can't be choosers. They need us to lose.

If everything goes well for us, there is a strong chance that England v India at Edgbaston will be repeated in about 10 days in the SFs. It's very difficult for us to finish 4th. Most likely we either finish 3rd (ahead of NZ) or get knocked out. And if we finish 3rd, it probably means India finishing 2nd (it becomes difficult for them to win the group if they lose today).
When Vincey returns to Hants I hope that he retains his ambition to prove himself and impress selectors because he will stay motivated, but personally and selfishly I would be delighted if England never came calling again.
For a guy who looked all at sea in the first five overs, that's a brilliant 100.
Root has got a maximum of three overs to get a move on, or get out. I was absolutely fine with his coming in when he did, but we're now running out of overs for Buttler.
I think Root did that deliberately, it was either a boundary or out, so fair play to him. Come on Jos!
