Not content with being unable to hit the ball of the square, Warner decides he'll make his team's position even worse by running out his captain.

Now to play reasonably aggressively and see how many batting points we can accumulate.
Have you forgotten who our openers are?
Although I guess they did have that one freakish stand vs Warks.
Although I do give up as to how bad Soames (and Weatherley) has to be until he gets dropped for Donald.
I took it as a given that Donald would be recalled.
To be fair, we could have Chris Gayle and De Kock opening the batting and we'd still struggle to get any batting points if the forecast is accurate.Have you forgotten who our openers are?

I imagine it was a factor in us deciding to bowl. Easier to pick up in bowling points in a short space of time than batting points.
I'd also be interested to know why we played Crane. We clearly knew we'd be bowling first, and we must be aware of the awful forecast. So playing Holland or Berg, or even Donald, would have made more sense; strengthen the batting, without limiting our most likely bowling options.
Just seems an utter waste of a spot, giving it to Crane for this match.
And you in turn, are 139/7.Somerset bowl Kent out for 139!
