Oh great, we're back to having a less than solid pair of openers. How long are they going to persevere with Joe Weatherley there?

I'd suggest that the two of them are fighting out for one spot over the coming two months. It'll surely be one of them who makes way for Rahane. (If there was any suggestion it could be Donald, today should have ended that. Looks like quick run scoring is very much something we can forward to with him - when he's not getting himself out. After all, he does hold the joint world record for fastest first class 200, off just 123 balls.)

If Alsop is going to come in at 3 then why not open the batting?, he was virtually opening today anyway.
