The value of finally picking the spinner who we should have been picking all summer.
I don't care what a poor record Moeen has abroad, just like Woakes they should be both an easy selection pick in home conditions. And given that two spinners just isn't a requirement in this country, hopefully Rashid makes way for the final test.

The problem for India is that they can get 5 or 6 wickets, but we can still bat. The problem for England is that we need.batsmen at the top of the order to get runs.
Give Rory Burns his debut on his home ground. Drop Cook down to 3, which I wonder is a more suitable position for him to finish his career at. Give Jennings one final chance, in a less pressurised environment.
England still unbeaten in test cricket at the Bowl.
I would assume it is a big thumbs up for the Ageas Bowl after this match. A thrilling test, a wicket that helped the bowlers but if you got in there were runs to be had.
It feels a bit like the end of an era at Hants with the announcements of Jimmy and Slug's retirements from the game (Slug from today and Jimmy at the end of the season). They have both been fantastic servants to the club and I wish them well for the future.

Definitely give Burns a go, and it would have the benefit of removing him from the Surrey side for a bit too!
Yeah keep him there until Hants have played all their games against Surrey next season too, the man is a menace!
