Pakistan beat Sri Lanka by 3 wickets at Cardiff to finish 2nd in Group B. They will play England in the semi final, also at Cardiff.
Interesting round of Championship matches. Does anyone here have any money on Essex winning the title? 3 teams cut adrift at the bottom. How about last year's top 2 getting relegated this year? Not that I would wish it on Somerset. I suspect most here would not shed a tear if Surrey and Middlesex fell out of the top division.

What a difference between the England cricket and football teams. England cricket team playing all over the country, the football ...... do the powers that be realise there is a nation of football lovers outside Wembley? I would happily see the England team play all over the country from Newcastle, Manchester, Liverpool as well as use the Emirates. These grounds deserve to be used by the national team on a regular basis.
Essex don't have the batting to win it. Cook will miss the rest of the season now as England are playing test cricket.
Hants should really have more than 9 batting points with their top order, bonus points could be crucial in the final shake up.
But they do have momentum, and this is important. It really is a strong division. I do think Warwickshire are better than where they are at present. Surrey were in a similar position last season at this stage but rallied. It is important to have a class spinner in the side, and this is why Middlesex will be nearer the bottom than the top.
So do Hampshire. Back to back wins and they have the best bowler in the division in Abbott.
That is good. Does the present side come anywhere the vintage of the side in the 70s with Richards, Greenidge and Roberts? That side was a privilege to see both live and on television. Should have won more honours than they actually managed.
