Much better bowling in the 2nd half of the innings. Bowled absolute filth to the openers but I'm not sure what par is now. It looked like Essex would top Surrey's score from last night for a while. But boundaries do look small.

Need some thing special from McD & Vince to make a game of this. Think I’ll hit the beer tent.

Last ball of the over so Dawson should just swing hard.

The way we pulled it back with the ball proved the difference. They should have got at least 230 from where they were but Turner was brilliant and taking regular wickets really helped.

Also, Cheers Sussex and Somerset. That's Gloucs now out and taking NRR into account, it's most likely 2 from us, Essex and Kent joining Somerset and Surrey in the QF's. And given Essex are miles behind on NRR, one win for us should be enough.

What a game to watch. Friggin mesmerising, fantastic finish. Atmosphere at end was electric & now jiggin with the players. Brilliant. It’s not football.

    Yes. Yes. Yes.

Great win, great match, great atmosphere. God I love cricket.

Lovely to see Fuller hitting it again. If he can keep that up, then a 6,7,8 of Fuller-Howell-Dawson is probably as strong as we've ever been that deep. Dawson's best white ball form with the bat for quite a few years.

The last 24 hours couldn't have gone any worse for Essex. They had the wiggle room to lose one game against us and Kent, but to lose both...

They looked set to qualify with at least two games to spare, when their record read 7-2 at the start of the week. Now they're in a neck-and-neck two-from-three battle.

And amazingly, it might yet become a three-from-four battle. Us, Kent and Essex all have very winnable games up next - whereas Surrey play Somerset. It would have been unthinkable at the start of the competition that four teams could go into the final round of matches level on 16 points (just as unthinkable as the prospect of Surrey failing to qualify), but there's a decent chance now that it could happen. And in that last round of matches, Surrey play Essex.

New ball today! For the first time in English county cricket, this week‘s games will feature the Kookaburra ball.

    Weatherley dropped already.

It would be nice to think that he'll take advantage of that life. But I don't have much hope.
