Very solid, professional performance. Gets a top three finish, and qualification, right back on track. Tough game against Somerset on Wednesday, followed by almost certainly a must-win against Glamorgan on Friday.

Start of May, and yet I've still managed to come away with quite bad sun burn.

Good for us that Essex screwed up their run chase against Glamorgan and Middlesex collapsed against Kent - Denly took 3-20 for God's sake!

I presume it wasn't the greatest pitch at Kent.

My sole focus at the moment is pipping Surrey, Glamorgan and one of Essex and Sussex to 3rd place (and given that we still have them all to play, except Essex - and have a game in hand on Sussex - doing that is completely in our own hands). But beating Somerset on Wednesday would very much re-open up the opportunity to win the group, and with it avoid the need to go through the play-off round.

Rilee is fit again. So despite a nice little knock vs Gloucs, Jimmy will presumable drop back out of the team. Fidel is also fit again, but I can't see him getting into the side (unless they are concerned that Crane might get flogged around - Somerset have racked up some big scores so far).

Somerset 213/8 after 40 overs. They've scored quickly but lost wickets cheaply. Hants in a good position.

I have to say, Rossouw aside, Hampshire are really making a meal of this. Now 225/5.
