Weather is fine for the rest of the day so should get all the overs in, light permitting. Need 4 wickets tonight as an absolute minimum - ideally 5 or 6. I don't think anyone currently has any idea how much cricket will be played tomorrow so we need to make hay while the sun shines (or while there's no rain). The good news is we've taken all 8 bonus points so we are guaranteed a high scoring draw as a minimum.
Another reason to get out there would be our over rate. I think it said -1 on the scoreboard at the end of day 3 and we can't afford to lose any more ground on Surrey.
They're now reporting that they hope to start pretty much straightaway at 12.40pm if the ground passes its 12.30pm inspection!
Further inspection at 1pm. As long as it doesn't rain again (!) then surely we will get some cricket at least as they're not leaving it long between inspections
It's probably a case of there being one particularly wet patch that they want the groundsmen to work on for another 15-20 mins to see if they can get that better, i.e. drier
Assuming we actually get some play, we need all of Kyle, Barks and Abbas to right on it from ball one. We may only have a 2-3 hour window so wickets need to come thick and fast.
