Those bonus batting points could well be crucial come the end of September and crucially it has put us ahead of the game with potentially only having the once if we can bowl well on this pitch giving assistance to the bowlers.
Great effort from the lads.
 
If I'm honest, I'd have declared when we lost Fuller - for the sole reason that I didn't back Kyle to get us to 400. Sorry Kyle!

Shame that Donald didn't get his 100. But hopefully that goes a long way to making his place at no.7 safe.
 
It's really difficult to know how many more overs will be bowled in this match as the forecast keeps changing every time I look. The forecast is thundery showers for the area but it's simply impossible to know where they're going to hit. The forecast for Hedge End looks ok for tomorrow but Southampton Airport doesn't! I think there will be enough time to get maximum bonus points, which would take us level with Surrey. Given the forecast, a 16 point haul wouldn't be the end of the world. But obviously we would probably need the weather to intervene next week as well.
