Little bit harsh! Although, yes, his form has dropped off a bit in recent weeks. Alsop's figures don't look great, but he didn't seem to do too much wrong with his dismissal. Got to try to get up as close to 250 as we can, commentators saying that it's typical September bowler-friendly conditions
He lasted 3 balls playing at one he could have left. He keeps giving his wicket away early in his innings with stupid shots.

I really am sick and tired of Weatherley seeing off the new ball but then getting out for a **** score. He's got to go.

As an aside, I'm watching the live feed (from Lancashire's feed) and Aigburth looks like a proper cricket ground. Spectators are seated on fold-up seats (I haven't seen a deckchair, yet), and the pavilion looks like a Tudor half-timbered country house. You can imagine the square being roped off at the end of play, so that the local football team can play on the outfield.

The pavilion is the oldest existing one at a first class cricket ground having been built in 1880.

To be honest, the situation is getting so hopeless that I'm finding other things to take my interest, with the occasional glance at the match, just to see if we're going to post a three-figure total. On the other hand, our bowlers will be able to take Lancashire apart (OK, that is clutching at straws)

Hant's opening pair have scored a grand total of 372 in 19 CC innings @19.58 with only one score over 50, the 55 they put on against Warwickshire.
This is obviously the weak link in the chain that hasn't been addressed since Carbs and Jimmy Adams left.
