Hain is arguably the best batter on show in the match though - certainly in the top three - so whilst he is there, I won't relax. I don't know much about Lamb or Burgess. Briggs though has massively improved with the bat this season.
England fans wait all afternoon for a wicket then two arrive almost instantaneously!! Bit likc buses really!! It is going to be quite a tense climax to this test as the wicket is quite flat and getting around 340/350 should be do-able in four sessions.
This is the sort of good fortunate that we never got (nor deserved, given our poor shots). So many almost caught behinds and almost LBWs against Hain.
You mean that he is only going at around 5 an over!!! That's quite cheap for him!!! England still looking for that bowler that Swann was!!!
This could have been Organ or Dawson (doing the Burgess job) helping to keep Vince coming (doing the Hain job). Nothing reckless, and against the lesser bowlers with an older ball, batting looks so much easier. Whereas we just threw it away.
if we don’t lose any wickets tonight I will be amazed . Hope we don’t , but do we have the mentality for a long fight ?
Three and a half sessions on a relatively benign wicket!!! Fascinating!! And great that it is going far into the 5th day unless there is a batting collapse or the weather intervenes. Well played both sides for making it a wonderful test match so far.
