Yeah, a 176 run lead with 8 wickets and more than two days remaining is still a pretty advantageous position. India needs to approach 500 and bat for another four sessions at a minimum to have a real chance of winning, and that's still an enormous ask.

Happy with that TBH. Didn't want Sussex and wouldn't want Birmingham either if they get through tonight with home advantage.
 
Yeah Nick is right. Regulation 6.4 says that the winner of N1 v S4 (ie us) plays the winner of S2 v N3 (ie Somerset).

The ECB obviously decided to dispense with doing a draw, but without really publicising that.
 
What they haven't said (to my knowledge) is the order of the SFs. I'm guessing if Warks win this, their match will be first because their fans wouldn't need to travel. But if it is an all southern final, it's less clear cut. I'm guessing Canterbury is the furthest away, maybe? Suggesting that maybe Kent would play second?

We could do with another dodgy surface. And that chance increases by playing second.
