True, but I still think it's a risky call to bowl first. To justify the decision they need 3 wickets by lunch minimum. I wonder what Vince would have done.Currie coming in for Crane certainly suggests this isn't a usual Oval pitch though. Ordinarily, two spinners is almost a must.
Vince did suggest last week that with Surrey's poor start, he wouldn't be surprised if they left some grass on the wicket this week.
