I'm sure Vince really, really won't want to enforce the FO, should we get these last three wickets in time. But surely we don't have much choice, if we want to win? Unless, that is, we want to risk defeat by setting Gloucs something chaseable.

Somerset win at a brisk canter by 9 wickets and earn a day off and a very welcome 22 points. Hopefully Hants and Glos draw tomorrow, and it’s all to play for.

Lammonby got 70 in 80 balls, his first score over 5 of the season.

I'm almost certain that you'll get that draw, but Dawson getting that wicket right on the line has given us a small sniff.

That said, I'm not sure why you want Gloucs to draw. I'd have thought you'd want Gloucs losing as many as possible - you don't want to be finishing in the top two with them.

Yes, anything other than a Gloucestershire win really. It looks like Hampshire are going to win the group at this stage, and Somerset need Glos to drop as many points as possible to stand a chance.

For me, tomorrow will be our first indication of where we really are this season.

It could easily be argued that all we have done so far is beat two D2 teams. The two weakest sides in the group.

Essex would absolutely win this tomorrow if it was them in our position.

I'm fine with a draw tomorrow. But if we were to win, that will be us putting down a proper marker.

I fancy us but we need early wickets.

You say that but Middlesex skittled Surrey twice with pretty much the same bowling attack we faced. Yes their batting is crap but they've got some really good seam bowlers. Surrey's dreadful start is highly amusing.

I wonder if Jamie Overton will regret moving?
