Although Middlesex had a very poor season with bat and ball last year, and Indeed were scuttled by the same bowler who tore through Hampshire last week, in a match last season. Robinson!!
 
Chasing 277 to win and Burns has just gone . Close though , umpires call .
Don’t think we will win , but hope for a good performance to lift us for the next test . If that hasn’t jinxed it , nothing will.....

Could be set for another Ben Stokes miracle innings, you always have a chance with him in the line up however unlikely.

He's someone who potentially could really benefit from the BWT. Partly due to injuries and partly due to better options, he's never really had a run in the red ball team. Potentially he does now. And with no Fidel next season, there is a place up for grabs next season. (Of course we might decide to fill it with an overseas player or a new signing - but ideally I'd like us to use that option to bring in a decent top three batter.)

You'd think and this a lot better than 12-3, but they are very prone to a mid-order collapse too
I'm not watching so I don't know what the wicket is like, or how much movement their soinners are getting, but a mature and patient innings from all could get them over the line

Certainly couldn't have been set up better for an exciting finish that's in the balance for the whole innings
I'll watch the highlights ...

... if we win :D
 
That didn't need DRS to prove the umpire made a total howler there. Clear watching live.
 
Catching letting us down again. Pitch looks so green that 200 might be a decent score, even for a good side.
