So Yorkshire get Bairstow back, Kent get Billings back, Somerset get Banton back (etc, etc), but we don't get Vince or Dawson?

As if by magic, they are no longer "unavailable following the recent ODI series vs Ireland". However, Vince will still miss out due to personal reasons.
Hopefully it's nothing serious, and it's just him wanting to take a little break to clear his head (I did say that it felt like this past week was his last chance to make it as an international cricketer - and maybe he felt that too).

I would have loved your Somerset player, Babar, to have got a big score, though.
Great start. Middlesex's batting line-up is vastly superior to Sussex's, but even so, they are a batter light - so these early wickets are very important.
