Irks me Smith is there. In my view, his (& Warner’s) penalty was very lenient (no penalty for the accusation of bringing the game into disrepute) & should have been long enough to miss the WC & this Ashes test. Yep, he served “the time” but in real terms wasn’t much. He cheated massively, as a senior and in the test arena & only missed a couple of tests & a few other international games. Edit: I admit, I probably wouldn’t have said this if we were winning & he’d only scored a few runs
Vince's SR is giving me hope that this is another dodgy pitch. Because off the top of my head, you usually want 180 as a bare minimum at Beckenham. I think both of us got around 200 here last season.
I agree . The punishment was nowhere near severe enough . I have said this to people before . Having said that , they served their sentence , so time to move on .
Looking at the Ashes score, not watching the game Could anyone who is explain what is happening here, as the Aussies appear to be knocking up a massive score, at a good run-rate, on a pitch that was supposed to be deteriorating and becoming a gift to a decent spinner
Sussex win in the final over after Gloucs commit the cardinal sin of not bowling their overs in time, such that Sussex's target of 14 off the last over got reduced to 8. Oh good, Blake.
Fair play to us for getting the RRR up to 10. But three of the last four overs are pace, and Blake particularly hits our pace.
