Two completely rank t20 campaigns out of three. We're really unfortunate to have Topley and Crane injured, and Abbott basically unselectable. But that's pure bowling. None of that explains how bad our middle order is in white ball cricket for the third year running. (Even despite winning the one-day cup. That was largely down to the guys at the top.)
England 95-1. Root and Jennings in. Nice sporting day today. Bit of sofa surfing with the test match, followed by keeping an eye on Saints v Celta Vigo....and later on, Murray v Edmunds in Washington. Nice one.
Weird 4.30 start here. McManus dropped, which is absolutely no surprise. Even for the most optimistic person, this is surely our last chance.
Great first over. Wood has been our best seamer by a million, billion miles this year. (Although not exactly difficult.)
Good stuff Fidel... His (occasional) good balls were edged for 4. His (regular) short, wide rubbish balls were smacked for 4 and 6. When we're doing well, Fidel is never in our XI. He's too blooming quick and wild for t20!! (The fact that he can't bat or field makes it even worse. Berg might be expensive, but at least he can whack it. Abbott too.)
