Due to Sky and BT messing each other around, I'm getting my Sky from NowTV these days. Which means a time delay when watching live sport. So I generally keep away from other websites to avoid reading things first! Not bad boys, not bad at all.
Maybe I'm missing some updates here, but after a brilliant batting display, Hampshire's bowling and fielding has been rather good as well - Derbyshire are 58 for 7 after 9 overs. If this was a horse race there would be a stewards' enquiry, it's so one-sided
"Derbyshire Falcons need 131 runs to win from 4.2 overs" Even as a Saints fan, I don't think we will blow this one
So finals day takes place during the International break. Who do you want in the finals? Hampshire should fear no one. It is good as it will give the club confidence going into the last five matches of the 4 day game.
We'd beat Leicester or Warwickshire. We'd lose to Notts or Surrey. Somerset and Glamorgan could go either way (even if the group stage results suggest otherwise).
I hope it is a hot blistering day for you with two great results. You guys in the UK deserve some late summer sunshine after an indifferent one so far. Here's some help.
I set my BBC Weather app to Pezenas in France some weeks ago. The daytime temperature has dipped below 28C just once since then. Yum.! Just another 3 weeks. I think the Med will hold out.
Looks like this could almost be as one-sided as last night. Not a huge surprise; I would say that Derby and Leicester are the weakest two sides in the QFs. (The likes of Northants and Yorks need to take a hard look at themselves)
Yep, very one-sided indeed. I know we beat Glamorgan twice in the group stage, but I can't help but get worried when I see Ingram play like that. If Notts and Surrey progress, they'll be no weak link at Finals Day.
What is it with Notts and QFs? This could be their 6th defeat in 9 QFs. But Samit and Christian can both play match-winning innings. And on the flip side, Somerset's QF record is just as impressive as ours. (If they win, four of those six Notts QF defeats would be to the two of us)
Notts showed tonight they can be beaten. If we get them in the semi final the toss is vital. You have to field first against them. You do that and they are out of their comfort zone straight away.
