Correct me if I am wrong, but guys from the "Middlesex School of Batting" (Gatting and Ramprakash) were frequently out playing for England in a similar manner.
I don't want to spoil it for you , I am sure it will be on TMS later or somewhere . All I will say is Boycott himself said it was the worst he has fallen for .
Having reviews available has made umpires chicken out....especially on run outs. I understand checking close calls, but I have seen umpires call for video evidence when the batsmen couldn't reach safety on a motor bike.
Here's the Video Clip ( watch the lad in the background ) http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/cricket/40781223
Yeah, saw that earlier. Memorable one. Jonathan Agnew played that brilliantly. On another note: Bloody hell, I wish, wish, wish, the BBC would drop that bloody default Autoplay On for videos. There's absolutely nothing one can do to stop it either, other than actively clicking it to Off. Then it defaults back to Autoplay On at the next video. They're getting complaint about it, left right and centre, but they do nothing. Of course, they're just following everyone else in this area, but they don't have to. Some, like the odd online newspaper I won't mention, are even worse. You stop the autoplay video, scroll down the webpage, and it starts up again lower down. Hair pulling out annoying.
