Same illness which put him out of the Middlesex game I would expect.

Hopefully Dawson can replicate his one day form from last season.
 
I can still see us falling short of 300 from here. Probably need an over of 15 - 20 runs to get us there.
 
Slug needed this knock, after his start to the t20s. Need him to turn up in limited overs cricket in the next few weeks without Vince.
 
I'm interested to see how Stevenson goes with the ball. Given that he can hold a bat, he could turn out to be a useful replacement for Wood if he can do the job with the ball. And he also has a chance of jumping ahead of Best, and maybe even Andrew, in the t20 pecking order. (At the moment I have him and Crane dropping out for Sammy and Afridi).
 
And similarly, needed that wicket. Pretty much all down to Foster now.
 
We've been hurt by that stupid ECB rule. We badly needed McLaren in that bowling attack.

I agree that it's stupid. But we knew all about the rule. We choose to go with Sammy and Afridi.

Still another three one-day matches to come yet until we can play him.
