If we'd walked off 2 down, I'd have called it our day. Whereas if we'd walked off 4 down, I'd have called it their day. So on the basis that we've walked off 3 down, I guess I have to call it a even day? Maybe ever so slightly in our favour? Great entertainment, either way. And now for Birmingham v Essex.
I wouldn't have thought so. A lack of cameras, if nothing else. It's the same for both sides, so I don't really see the issue. Not really any different to third umpire reviews for stumpings and run-outs. They happen for televised games, but not non-televised games.
From being 89-5, Birmingham have done really well to get to 167. Essex I suspect will still be happy, and they'll be up against a very weakened bowling attack. But Birmingham have a chance. Essex have a habit recently of batting really well for the first half their innings, and then falling away horribly in the second half. If we win tomorrow, we'll play tonight's winner in the SF.
Two games in a row that Essex hit a final ball 6 to save themselves from being knocked out after an awful, awful second half of a run chase.
Good ball, good catch. Aussies really showing us how to catch - a massive difference between the two sides.
