Ben Stokes could be the new Flintoff. :)

As I say, he's been Freddie's (and Beefy's) heir apparent long before he made his international debut. Lots of youngsters have come to prominence in the county scene in the last five years or so (many on whom have now played international cricket), but none quite like Stokes and Buttler. And that includes Root. Stokes and Buttler have been world class stars in the making pretty much since day one.

Totally and utterly laughable that people were discussing there only being one place in the team for Stokes and Jordan. As if there's even a debate between them?!

I think we may have got a settled side at last for the Ashes. Wood's done more than enough to keep his place and Stokes is now a certainty.

Still leaves Lyth. He completely deserves his chance given the runs he has scored for Yorkshire, but he'll be under pressure if he fails both innings in the next test. Even more so if Hales continues to plunder four day runs for Notts.

In fact, in addition to this, I would also highlight Moeen as a bowler. Just like in the WI recently, there will be times where we need a front line spinner. I simply don't believe that Moeen is that bowler.

It's not a massive problem here, but then Lords in May is different to, say, Old Trafford in August.
