Any romantics/soppy twats out there?

So Mrs luv and myself often spend our anniversary apart as she visits her parents in the summer holidays and I'm working so it's fine and we're not bothered.

However she went and had the bright idea of coming home a day early which would be tonight so that we could go out. I pointed out that I was happy to go out as long as the footy was on there.
She's coming back tomorrow.

Would any of you have been a big pussy and missed the football for an anniversary?

Just had my wedding anniversary 17 years now (we got married young... she technically wasn't allowed to drink at our wedding <laugh>).

We also observe the anniversary of our first date.

They're all sad Matthew, they are a reminder of the young scallywag you once were before you were tamed and neutered.

Honestly, I find life gets better and more enjoyable as I get older. I don't like that my chronos clock is ticking but life gets better as you age... at least as far as I've got so far.

I am a big softie - I took my Mrs to New York for Valentines Day this year, and always celebrate our Wedding anniversary - so you need to man up and go to the garage and get her some flowers and Ferrero Rocher and make a night of it :)

She's miles away so that wouldn't work and besides that I'm not missing the footy. We don't do Valentine's Day at all.

I've never been a fan of V day. I'll randomly do romantic gestures for the Mrs. Buy her flowers randomly... on my lunch break I sometimes go and drop gummy bears (she's a big fan of them) in her car or a silk rose. I'm not anti romance but I do hate valentine's day.

High school sweethearts?

I acknowledge that we got married on a certain date.
