Oxford-based No 7239 is seen on shed at Southall in 1962.
This loco was a rebuild of No 5274 in 1936.
We didn’t see very many of this class so near to London as the 28XX and 38XX class usually worked the heavier coal and freight trains.
Note the diagonal line of rivets on the coal bunker is above the numberplate, signifying this is a ‘coal scuttle’ bunker

7242 Tung Sol Triode Tube. Designed as a long life passing tube in series regulated power supplies. Has a 100 Watt dissipation and capable of replacing 4 5998 tubes in most circuits.

HSB 99 7247-2, 2-10-2T, built by LKM 1956, at Drei Annen Hohne, Harz, Germany, September 3, 2019.

This locomotive was tried to be restarted. But the fire pipe was damaged. The steam pressure did not reach 10 bar.

Steam Locomotive 7248 1955c Shrewsbury

A visitor from 87E Landore. Has it arrived via the Central Wales line or Hereford? The 24.5T loco coal wagon has a plate attached that says 'Return to Oakdale Colliery Western Region For Motive Power Coal'
