Bangladesh Railway Class 6600 is a class of 1,676 mm gaugediesel-electriclocomotives owned by Bangladesh Railway. There are 40 locomotives of this class, all designed and manufactured by American company Progress Rail's Electro-Motive Diesel subsidiary. Class 6600 locomotives are used on both freight and passenger trains. Those are the strongest and most advanced broad-gauge locomotives in the Bangladesh Railway.

D6608 entered service with British Rail in November 1965, the last of the 309 Class 37 locomotives to be delivered.

A lime-encrusted English Electric Type 3 (later Class 37/0) 1,750hp Co-Co No.D6608 (later 37 308) in BR green livery with all-yellow front end, at Crynant on a Craig-y-Nos Quarry - Port Talbot lime train for the steelworks at the latter town, c.Summer 1969.
