After being retired, the locomotive was sold to the Edaville Railroad in September 1961, and then was later moved to Bellows Falls, Vermont and became part of the Steamtown, U.S.A. collection in 1969. It has been cannibalized for parts for Steamtown's operating Canadian National 2-8-2, the 3254. Even the pilot wheels and trailing truck were removed, making it an oversized 0-8-0. The locomotive sits on display south of the Steamtown shops.

The 3382 is a multifunctional hydraulically powered platform. It can be installed aft and serves as a passerelle, swim ladder, tender lift and loading platform. When fully opened horizontally it triples the size of the stern platform. Twelve versions are available with 4 or 5 steps and load capacities ranging from 400 kg / 950 lbs up to 600 kg / 1,350 lbs. 220 V three-phase power supply. For each model of “Transformer” platform in series 3380 the equivalent model in series 3390 is available, without steps and with the sole tenderlift and loading platform function. It is available also with structure and fairing made in carbon fibre which makes lighter the transformer. PATENTED MODEL.
The first locomotive, 'Camel', was built with the engine number 3384 on the sides of the smokebox with the engine name together with the Great Western coat of arms on an oval plate on the cab sides. Engine number 3320 'Avalon' was initially fitted in 1899 with an oval plate on the cab side which incorporated the engine name and number on the outside of the oval together with the G.W. arms in the centre. One year later, standard number plates were fitted to the smokebox saddle then, in 1903, number 3320 was supplied with an early trial pattern of the curved nameplate over the splashers, similar to the later standard design.

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-3388 is to be contained in a climate-controlled containment chamber at Site-42. SCP-3388 is to kept at the center of the chamber such that the walls and ceiling are at least 7m away from SCP-3388. Windows in the ceiling of the chamber are to allow natural sunlight into the room.
