The view is looking north towards Wigan North Western, the train is on the Up Fast. The Civil Engineer's Canal sidings are visible to the left in the distance, where another Class 25 seems to be shunting. The seventeen year career of D5211/25061 was spent allocated to LMR depots, including a lengthy stay at Longsight.

please log in to view this image VOR Train to Aberystwyth DSCN5215 Vale of Rheidol Railway 2-6-2T No. 9 Prince of Wales (as Great Western Railway 1213) puts out a lot of steam running downhill to Aberystwyth with a train of GWR chocolate-and-cream coaches coming back from Devil's Bridge.

please log in to view this image 25069 & 25068 stand at Springs Branch on May 7th 1974 after working the Royal Train to Lowton for stabling. Close investigation of 25069 reveals that the painters have picked out in white paint almost everything they could find, from the wheel rims to the footsteps, lamp brackets and even the windscreen wipers! The twenty year four month career of D5219/25069 was spent allocated to a small number of London Midland Region depots, with all but three months allocated to London area depots.

please log in to view this image Locomotive No./Train ID-5223 A CN freight works its way west toward Pt. Mann's Thornton Yard at Cisco, BC in the Fraser River Canyon above Boston Bar. CN suffered a fire on their bridge, and when repaired it was primed in orange, but never repainted beyond that. CP's bridge is in the foreground, popping their main lout of a tunnel and under the CN. CN's water level grades permitted long trains handled by two non-dynamic brake SD40s, whereas CP used several units with mid-train power for their trains.

5227 - 5205 Class please log in to view this image 5227 was built at Swindon in 1924 and was withdrawn in 1962. She survived at Barry Scrapyard to become one of the 'Barry Ten', being the last unsold locomotives at Woodham Brothers in 1990 when Dai Woodham retired. The 'ten' were taken on by the Vale of Glamorgan Council and stored for another twenty years in scrapyard condition before being sold.
please log in to view this image Locomotive No: BNSF 5228 - After running through Palmer Lake, Colorado, BNSF 5228 (Dash 944CW) along with a Canadian National unit crosses the Rio Grande bridge leading to Monument, Colorado. After Monument it will pass through the US Air Force Academy grounds and then reach Colorado Springs.
