For the first time in years we are having Christmas lights on outside.
I hate putting them up always have. I am perhaps the most impractical person that exists. So it’s always a real bodge job.

But if the wife wants to be able to see lights on in the garden, how can I say “no”.
Text her it mate then she can’t hit you

You could 'empower' her to do them herself, showing your non-binary-gender-orientated prejudices...

I regularly use this approach and almost posted a photo in the shed-thread of the shed I recently empowered my *wife to build.

(obviously in a none possessive union)

I wish that I could empower her mate, but not this year.
