For the first time in years we are having Christmas lights on outside.
I hate putting them up always have. I am perhaps the most impractical person that exists. So it’s always a real bodge job.

But if the wife wants to be able to see lights on in the garden, how can I say “no”.

You could 'empower' her to do them herself, showing your non-binary-gender-orientated prejudices...

I regularly use this approach and almost posted a photo in the shed-thread of the shed I recently empowered my *wife to build.

Have you tried a projector Xmas light set up? I haven’t but my best mate swears by them. It’s literally a 2 minute job to set up.

Impossible to get hold of round here.
Loads more homes are lit up this year.
My effort has pleased the missus and that’s all I need.
