Spent four hours in Hull Royal today. Not for me I hasten to add, I'm like a Greek ****ing god, I'm that healthy. Don't even need an inhaler is how fit I am.
Spent a few hours talking, chatting up, to some dedicated nurses who'll be working over Christmas, Boxing Day and all of it. It never shuts.
Heartfelt gratitude.
My suggestion of going back to Barbara Windsor type uniforms was met with hostility mind. Meh

On the back of this do we think that the Carry On films are now so un PC and will be banished to the cellars of TV companies.

Christmas without a Carry On film is like haddock and chips without curry sauce.

I spent four hours in there a fortnight ago today, it was very busy and many of those there waiting for treatment were a disgrace. When I was ready to come home I waited in the main foyer, unbelievably a woman sat down and lit a cigarette!

Nobody should have to work at Christmas. According to our former resident anarchist, Spook.

First year my wife won't be working Christmas Day for 7 years and I am that off it can't even face having a drink. Typical.

As a regular in hospital the attitude of far too many is a disgrace. I couldn't put up with it if I was working there.

Agreed.
All some do is moan about the nhs.
When I was in Turkey I was talking to a woman that worked in the hotel.
She said a big part of her and her husband' wages went on medical care insurance.
That would give some of these twats something to moan about.

Talk about a **** sandwich...

...a full festive programme was due to start with Edinburgh on Tuesday, with my daughter having her boy on Wednesday...

...but my boy has developed Sepsis (from a sport injury - he's 37 on Xmas eve) which has infected a heart valve. Prognosis is lots of test procedures and antibiotics ( he was rushed into Sunderland General on Thursday and moved to James Cook Uni Hospital - a fine hospital, but a bit of a trek), probable surgery on Thursday and hospitalised for at least 4-6 weeks. Oh well, fingers, legs, everything crossed and soldier on.

Best wishes to Alex and all your family.

Hope all goes well.:emoticon-0148-yes:

Just about become a resident at the James Cook in Boro, what a great place and team.
Unfortunately it's got worse and he has full open heart tomorrow.
If you pray, his names Alex.

Thoughts are with you all Fez, hope it goes well.
