Our kids for the afternoon. Gins tested
tanqueray no 10
Bathtub
Botanist
Eden Mill.

Didn't like Botanist. Jock gin for One. Very salty.
Bathtub very palatable. 7/10.
Tanq can't go wrong. Fifty quid our kid said it cost hehe nor a lot left...
Eden Mill over ice no tonic. Hint of a whisky about it. Nah not for me.

Also had some proper stinky cheese **** knows what it was called though a soft gooey cheese it was. And another that had charcoal in it!! Again ok but why??
Some crunchy cheddar and a cracking Spanish cheese bit like manchego but creamier.
Our lass driving he he
Of course its salty, the dirty scotch ****s **** into it cos they know its the English that buy it.

We had some cheesy pasta bake thing, which was actually quite nice. I was slightly put out when the witch informed me she'd used some 5 counties in it mind. Used a lot of the gammon in it, and the rest of the chicken.

Having a rest today.

Just found some pigs in blankets from Christmas Day wrapped in tin foil at the back of the fridge.

There could be a family of badgers living in the bastard and you wouldn't see them, it's ridiculous how full it is.

Anyways I also found some coleslaw that needs eating today whilst foraging in the bottom compartment.

I plan to microwave the P.I.B's and whack a dollop of said coleslaw on for me supper with some crusty bread.

Common as fook.

I carried on Christmas in New York with whole family
Meant I missed Man City and will miss Everton, but on balance I couldn't give two ****s about that
Top trip so far and some very fine ales consumed
Goose Island IPA on draft in one pub nearby, and we stumbled across a little place called 'Milk and Hops' which pretty much sold just cheese and beer...and some amazing ones. Drinking a NY coffee porter called Long Monday (Mondays would feel long if you'd been drinking 8.3% porter all weekend!) and a Descendents IPA (7.3%)

Happy New Year chaps

Forgot to mention I was bought some Avon black suede aftershave, shower gel and deodorant...
It was from the mother in law.
It stinks.
As does she.

Forgot to add.. You can always find a great post on here to cheer you up.
PS Black Suede ?? Doesn't she like you ??

Yesterday was Sharp's, Doom Bar 4%; Timothy Taylor's, Ram Tam 4.3%, a luvly 6% Ruby Red, all three ably assisted by this little beauty:

My Mother-in-Law bought me a tie.

Last year she bought me a tie.

And the year before that.

And the previous year.

Also the year before that one.

And indeed the one before that.

See also, the prior year.

One year previously.

As well as 365 days before that.

Keep going until about 1989.

None of them have ever been particularly hideous. None of them have ever being first choice off the tie rack any morning either.

The best I could describe any of them as is 'meh'.

Is that aftershave or gin? I dunno as I don't partake in that poncey kind of alcoholic drink. Bitter man me, in more ways than one.<cheers>.

I had a St Peter's selection last night my favourite of which was a Ruby Red. The other 3 weren't too shabby either, but the Ruby Red was best.

Guinness West Indian Porter & Robbo's Old Tom Ginger rounded off a good night.

Shifted a bit this morning mind, very dark.

All good stuff.

A back to basics day for me: Stones bitter and a Fray Bentos Steak & Kiddley, chips, beans and HP sauce.

A Southern Comfort (on ice) later, then a brandy coffee as a night cap. Saved a fortune on teabags! <laugh>

Tomorrow's another day.

I'm off it today, for now. Got to drive early in the morning & I know I have a brake light out so they'll have a ready made excuse to pull me.

Just stuck a load of cheese on toast under the grill. It looks magnificent. A mix of Port Salou, Stilton, Smoked Godminster, Wensleydale & Chedder.

Steady on SCB, you don't want to come down with Mixamitoasties just before New Year.

Talking of repetition - my gran started buying me the Rupert bear annual in 1958, not sure when she got me the last one but, it was late enough to be a source of mirth and piss-taking from my younger brothers.
