How about this for a Christmas cracker. Just had a mooch round Aldi after shopping in town. I've only got a 50 quid free range Turkey for 25 quid!! Get in.
Its dry plucked and game hung for 7 days, whatever that means.
I bet it tastes no different to a frozen one.

Also got some scallops 50% off too. i'll be having them later with Chorizo :emoticon-0110-tongu

It didn't come with an invite to a San Francisco bathhouse, did it?

How was breakfast?

Breakfast in Yates was good. Cant go wrong really for that price. Daughter not happy though as they dont do cream cheese and bagels!! Honestly Ernie she "had" to have a bacon sarnie and glared at me throughout.
15 quid for two brekkies with a tea and two bacon sarnies with hot chocolate.
Plus i had a pint of Noddy Holden for 2 quid!!

As long as they're paying their proper taxes chaz? I don't trust Jonny foreigner giving gear away cheap! They're selling cucumbers @ 19p so what are they're paying the poor farmer who grows them? Merry Xmas <cheers>

He's a bloody social animal, and a right greedy sod. We eat a lot with Chorizo.
Glad you enjoyed the brekkie, great value and usually quiet on a weekend morning. And some nice ales to wash it down with, which is rare.

Just had a little brandy in my breakfast coffee. I have to be disciplined now, til meeting Denis's clan at 3pm.
This site's getting like bloody facebook.
I had a beer at about 10 to celebrate my successful hunting and gathering (Fields for turkey and pork pie )
Now having a Tanquerey to celebrate daughter arriving
I will find something else to celebrate before meeting Askew's mob...when I shall celebrate that too

Merry Pissedmas everybody

I'm still dry. Looks like first one down the trap will be after 6. Disappointing, to say the least.

Up town shopping for eau dynasante, paid well over the odds but it came with 'free gifts'.

Now on the bus and heading to see Kempton snr in his care home.

Really wanted to have him home but...

Apropos the crumpet and pikelet debate: Although I'm fairly ambivalent towards the nomenclature of either breaded product, I am less intolerant towards the naming of the muffin. It's not an English muffin. A muffin is English anyway and cannot be confused with any other baked product. A muffin that's not an English muffin isn't a muffin at all, it's a ****ing big cup cake. Or a large bun. Or maybe a small plain gateux. But it's not a muffin so there's no need to deliniate another breaded comestible otherwise called a muffin as pertaining from any particular country, England or otherwise.

Just wanted to clear this up.
Can I shed some light on this debate ???
Thanks !!
I believe that the Pikelet is a crumpet but just quite thin.
The crumpet on the other hand is much thicker l
Hope this helps
