I've never bought them myself or heard of them as part of Christmas, never seen them sold like that either or perhaps I only noticed because you mentioned them.
We tend to go to my other half's mum for Xmas day ... the motherr-in-law is one of 6 sisters - all of them abide to an old family ritual of toasting 'absent friends' as the clock strikes 12 mid-day on Xmas day - in reality the 'absent' are the dead - still it's a nice gesture and also a good excuse for a wee dram ...

Got to get some beers on the way home tonight and then there's all the fresh meat and veg tomorrow and after that not doing anything. Only time out is to go watch Rogue One on the 27th. Outlaws then turn up for New Year.

I will toast to my mum who sadly fell ill last Xmas day and then passed on the 27th.

Most have Kronenburg, Stella and Becks on offer.
You'll not find Moretti on offer.

Don't like either to be honest. Becks has to be the worst German beer you can buy.
Got to go late night shopping again tonight forgot to buy my auntie and uncle something so afterward will pop in our German pub and drink the German dunkel beer.
