Friday was bóndadagur or husband or farmers day and is the first day of Þorri. Men are supposed to go without a shirt and only one leg of trousers around their farm, then be treated well by their wife. Traditional food is hákarl, pickled lamb's heads, harðfiskur, pickled lamb's penises, pickled ram's testicles, blóðmör, lifrarpylsa, sviðasulta (sheep brains and meat in jelly), and hangikjöt, smoked cured lamb. Some of the traditional food for Þorrablót is horrible but when it is all there was to eat people did eat it.

Evening all, a few technical problems here having decided to change my ISP. The new one couldn't wait to get his hands on my line, so last night it was cut off and the new one installed today. Anyone know how cables that sit behind a desk can become entangled when they are not touched?
