If the kids weren't ready like Monk said, then why did he keep playing'em....what he kept doing and what he said, after we weren't getting promoted doesn't make sense......
Who did he have to replace them with? O'Kane was in and out, Bridcutt in and out, Dallas in and out, too many were not doing it regular so he was trying to freshen it up and those 3 were senior players in reality so the likes of Viera, Sako were either brill or garbage. We lacked creativity and cutting edge, Roofe was as bad, Alphonso should have stabalised things and taken the pressure off but he went also in and out. barrow wtf? Grimes wtf?. We had a sold defence backed by Greene, and that was it so not good enough. Hoping those kids still with us will have learnt from the experience, but midfield has been the problem for too long. We saw glimmers of brilliance from a couple like Hernandez but too few of them. I think we saw the difference a midfield can have with Jonny Howson on Saturday and we aint really had that since he left. yes Viera in a couple of games was awesome, Tyler Dent the same but like watching 2 different teams from 1 game to the next
