Good Morning Everyone,
Well done to Norwich who beat Boro in the Play off final 2-0.
I think the writing was on the wall as soon as we knew Bamford was not fully fit.
Speaking of Bamford, how does a club like that manage to sign a player of his quality on loan (from Chelsea) and we can't?
Could losing a play off final effect effect Boro's performance in the Championship next season?
Well done to the England Cricketers who beat New Zealand in the first test. What an amazing come back!
Leeds have a new assistant Manager. His name is Rob Kelly.
Here's a bit about him :-
1) Last season Rob Kelly was an assistant boss at Premier League side West Brom, working alongside Alan Irvine before the Baggies made a change and appointed Tony Pulis. Irvine described him as having a 'great personality', and good at building relationships with players, quoted by the West Brom website.
2) Kelly has managed in the Championship in his own right before, steadying the ship at Leicester City as caretaker in 2006 after Craig Levein was sacked, and being appointed full-time.
3) He managed Preston for one game as caretaker boss in 2010, and led them to a 7-0 win in the FA Cup against Colchester United.
4) The last game he managed in the Championship was in 2011/12 as a caretaker boss for Nottingham Forest, bridging the gap between Steve McClaren's sacking, who he worked under at the club, and Steve Cotterill's appointment.
5) Kelly once worked as a youth team coach at Watford and academy director at Blackburn Rovers, showing he could be ideal to help Leeds' young talent progress.
We also have a new head of recruitment, according to The Sun.
The paper write: "Leeds have also made another key addition to their backroom staff, with highly-rated Steve Head joining from Reading as head of recruitment.
Steve Head was at Fulham for a decade, and prior to that spent 10 years working in Southampton's academy.
Reading's website described his key responsibility at the club as European scouting, which is bound to appeal to owner Massimo Cellino, as well as new boss Uwe Rosler who brought in players from across Europe at Wigan.
The club's website also explained how he was asked to scout by Roy Hodgson on behalf of England ahead of the World Cup.
The backroom staff ARE STARTING TO TAKE EFFECT...
Pearson
Rosler
Kelly
Head
Hope we emulate this when signing new players...
If transfer rumours are correct, we are about to sign 3 goalkeepers :-
Paul Robinson
Simon Moore
Daniel Bentley
