Good Morning Everyone,

I don't think what I am about to say will surprise anyone, but we need a decent striker!

A good quality forward who knows where the back of the net is.

Someone that can score 25 goals in a season.

It says something when our leading goal scorer (joint) is Mowatt.

Who'd take McContract back?

Apparantly Norwich are intereste in Antenucci!

There must be a reason why he has not featured in half a season, so I say let him go!!!

Yet again, the player that impressed the most on Saturday was Sol Bamba.

Shame the same cannot be said about Cani or N'goyi who has now recovered from injury.

If Refearn doesn't play two proper wingers with Morison as the lone striker against fulham even Boggers will be shouting sack the Barnsley bumbler. McContract? No thanks, he had his one good season.

Morning all, I wonder where we would be today if we added the goals Ross had scored at this same stage last season, although in saying that I did always feel that was a one off season for him, I wouldn't take him back, too disruptive and selfish in my opinion.

Morning all. Problem with top strikers is they're expensive and would require top wages. We had one, got a great price for him but would likely have to spend most of it to get a 25 goal a season man

Good Morning Glory,

heard Moro came in for some stick on Saturday. One of his goal attempts went for a throw in!

Morning ristac, better players have bigger ego's I guess.

Morning Eire, that what we'll need to stand a chance of the Prem. We have tightened up our defence, we now need a natural goalscorer.

We need to fix the things that are easier and cheaper first. We could have Messi up top but without a philosophy that includes tackling and pressing the ball up the pitch we will remain an average tier two club. I have no doubt the players can do it, but since warnock we have become too easy to play against.

And Messi, only being 27, would still get a 3 year contract from Cellino

Wouldn't have McContract back, he's playing against the same teams as were are, and his scoring record isn't good, would've been same for us imo.

We have two good strikers in Antenucci and Duke, Redders don't want to play'em. I don't go for this it's cos of the formation we're playing; I will go for the midfield don't know how to feed the strikers, even Morison should've scored by now if they did.

We need two strikers up front, Morison or Sharp ain't either of'em imo.

We don't need a 25 goal a season striker. We definitely need a reasonably prolific one but I'd be interested to see just how many promoted teams actually have a striker that scores 25 a season. From the top of my head there is normally one team (sometimes none though) but the best teams always seem to be the ones that are solid at the back and share the goals amongst the group of strikers they have with the midfield chipping in healthily.

Saying that, the likes of Grabban or Calum Wilson were signed in the summer for around 3m. Thats the sort of money I would like us to spend on a decent first choice striker and it would help our team massively.

Afternoon LL, Seems not many of us have much faith in Redder's decision making, especially tactics
