Good Morning everyone,
Steve Thompson will be named at Redder's number two today
Leeds and Thompson have been in direct talks since Huddersfield Town revealed last week that they were willing to allow their first-team coach to move to Elland Road for no compensation.
The 50-year-old - formerly a team-mate of Redfearn’s at Bolton Wanderers - is expected to finalise his appointment in time to join United’s boss in the dug-out for Saturday’s game at Nottingham Forest.
Despite a transfer embargo, Nicola Salerno is confident of bringing Leonardo Pavoletti to Elland Road during the January transfer window.
Leeds are still permitted to sign players on loan and it is thought this is how they would acquire the Sassuolo forward.
Nicola Salerno, sporting director, told GianlucadiMarzio.com: "I've liked him for years, before I came to Leeds.
"He is liked by both me and the president (Massimo Cellino). With Sassuolo an agreement can be found easily. We have to understand what he wants to do."
Bellusci is still a doubt for Saturdays game with Forest, as is Austin.
To be honest, I think Austin has come to blows with Redfearn. I do not expect to see him in a Leeds shirt again.
If as expected Bellusci is ruled out, do we persist in Pearce. Maybe just pick somebody out of the crowd, and see how they get on?
