Don't feel sorry for any modern day footballer, they get well paid, Kenny won't need to sign on. Thought he had a go at the Leeds supporters during a game.
I liked Grayson, but I think to go back now might be a mistake, glad he seems to be doing well at Preston. Delighted Smithy signed a new contract, nice bloke, good attitude, I would like to see him and Sharpe up front.
As for Doukara, not convinced yet, but it's early days and hopefully he'll improve.

Morning all by the way. I really think we can win tonight, but I don't expect many goals.

Could we play three at the back with byram and warnock playing as wingback? On Saturdays showing I don't think either Cooper or Pearce deserve dropping, more game time together more important.
I also prefer warnock and byram when they are going forward.

I was and still am a big fan of grays on and was disgusted when he was sacked but I'm weary of going backwards. So no to grays on but also wouldn't be bothered if it was announced tomorrow.

Pleased to see Kenny go, I really went off him last season. At times he looked as though he had just given up.

It's not about how hard we can hit, it's how hard we can get hit and keep moving forward. How much we can take and keep moving forward. That's how winning is done.

Dunno if we should entirely change our formation because of a headache on who to play at the back Hemase

Morning all ... Kenny turned down initial settlement offer in June, and was banished to the back of the bicycle shed until he saw the light ... Cooper is very calm and good on the ball, and also taller than Pearce, so for me he has to start regardless, Bellusci could well be on the bench tonight ... pleased Smith has signed, and Boggers is spot on, he will learn a lot from Sharp ... Grayson had his time, one of his failings was he lost respect when he diddled his secretary a la Ridicule, no thanks he should not return as the Bates era and all its connections are a distant memory now ... I hope the Hock doesn't get ahead of himself now and think he's the dogs thingys, this is a damn difficult division and no less than seventeen teams scored wins in the first two games ... oh please let us beat Brighton and dent their start badly, I am starting to feel that with the players we now have promotion is becoming a possibility, and the signings of Cooper, Bellusci and Sharp have pushed us forward by six months just like that

Given the choice, and the funds that are available, who would swap Hockaday with Grayson?

Not Preston thats for sure <ok>

I wouldn't really want Grayson back. Don't get me wrong I loved the guy and maybe one day, but he's still learning his trade and is doing very well. So I wish him the best of luck but no thanks. I'm still prepared to give Hockaday more time - never know, it could be a master stroke appointment.

Grayson produced our best team for years and had us playing some great football. He would have got us back to back promotions if it weren't for Bates. However I remember plenty of debates on here and elsewhere arguing that he was shyte at coaching his defence, and he lost me when he kept quiet instead of telling the truth about Bates and player sales and not giving him money to improve things.

Im not suggesting we do. It is an option though. I do believe on Saturdays showing that Pearce and Cooper should play again tonight. That was one of the better performances from a leeds defence I've seen in a while.

I'm happy to see the Hock given a chance to show what he can do. So short of us hitting the floor, I think his job should be safe until at least Cliffmas, if not the whole season.

I would wager £5 on him not making deitymas, and £20 on him not being here by May.

Afternoon Elland and company...

As far as I understood Kenny was offered an amount of money to cancel his contract but he refused
I heard the same story, I don't feel sorry for him, he never kept himself match fit but then he probably realised his days were numbered when we signed Butland.

Morning all chaps. All positive here in Eire and cautiously optimistic for tonight.
Me too, excited that the team is taking shape and although I expect us to win tonight I still have a nagging doubt.

With regards to Smith I still don't see him as a regular starter.
Me neither but glad he is staying, gives us an option off the bench.

I reckon Morison and Hunt will be gone in a few days now and hope Norris goes too.
Fingers crossed

Jury still out on doukara for me too elland. .
I assumed we had signed him to play on the wing, I too would like to see more of him before deciding if he is going to make it long term.

Bellusci should get his debut tonight alongide Pearce. Let's hope for continued progress and a good victory.
Did he get his papers though?

I can't take to Hockaday, just something about him that doesn't warm to me and I do fear he is getting more out of his depth with the more players we sign, he won't have a clue who his best 11 are and I can see Morison and White being picked when fit again.

The question you and the Hock would have to ask youselves is: what would Morison give us that isn't there starting or off the bench, and what would White give us? On Moison, very little. On White, all he's got is pace. Until someone can teach him to cross a ball, we're better off with what we've got.

So I can see both leaving sometime soon.

If they don't leave and Hockaday does select them you will have to agree he should go then ;) <ok>

Maybe that is what Cellino meant when he said he has to baby sit him, we are having to release and terminate contracts so that Hockaday can't pick them..
