    Good Morning Everyone,

Paddy Kenny has left the club by mutual consent. Upon leaving Hockaday praised Kenny's professionalism.

Talking of which, have Leeds treated him well?

Sure, he came back from his pre season break looking like Neville Southall, but why wait til now?

If Cellino and Hockaday had no plans on keeping him, why not let him go a few months ago. He wasn't even given a squad number, yet he didn't really make a fuss?

    Thoughts?

We are no further ahead in the Adryan deal. So much for him joining yesterday. Leeds have never been quick to get their players signed, sealed and delivered, yet other clubs manage to do it!!!

Given the choice, and the funds that are available, who would swap Hockaday with Grayson?

Its great to see Smith has signed a new 3 year deal with the club. I thought his contract was extended half half through last season. Maybe now, he'll get some game time?

Who do we think will partner Sharp up front? Don't know why, but I'm not a big fan of Doukara (yet), and I only see Ajose, Poleon, Walters and Morison as squad players (don't even get me started on Hunt). Is Smith the answer, or is Cellino going to dip his toe in the transfer market and bring in a recognisable striker?

Surely Bellusci will be given his debut tonight, but who will partner him? Will it be Pearce or Cooper? The obvious choice is Pearce, as he is the Captain, but if Cooper is shown to be a better player, what then?

As far as I understood Kenny was offered an amount of money to cancel his contract but he refused (whether that be that it was too little for his liking or he wanted to stay and fight for a place and pick up his wage still) and then went back and decided to take it. Or alternatively maybe he has found himself a club.

I'm not sure I would swap Hockaday for Grayson, its not a matter that I rate Hockaday because I really don't at this stage. I just think going back to grayson is a step backwards, our memories always make t seem better than it was and he did have his negatives Grayson and he was rightfully sacked at the time make no mistake.

    Morning by the way

Morning all chaps. All positive here in Eire and cautiously optimistic for tonight. As for paddy, best of luscious to him. He was an ok keeper in an awful team. I'm sure it won't be long before the clear out is complete. After tonight we should have a slightly clearer picture of what our new recruits are made of

    Morning Elland and all

Glad to see Kenny go, guess it took this long, as obviously Kenny would have been negotiating a pay off for the remaining year of his contract, MC probably offered £10 :) , and its taken this long to reach a figure agreeable to both.

With regards to Smith I still don't see him as a regular starter. To get the best out of him we need to really play with wingers, and well we dont really have any of those, so its down to dead ball situations so I can see Smith being more of an impact sub still for those times when we need to change our gameplan, unless of course we go to a more long ball style (hopefully not) and have Sharp playing off Smith.

Also RIP James Alexander Gordon, classic voice for reading the football scores

Great we got Smith because he gives us other options, but at the moment he'll be number 3 or 4 behind the Duke and Ajose for me. Sharp will be the main man unless we manage to sign Antonucci, but Ajose will spend time on the flanks and so will the Duke.

Paddy has been a good servant and was playing behind a garbage defence. He still had a year left on his contract so quite rightly waited for an offer he could accept or a new job. He kept out of the press and didn't moan or slag the club off and I bet he will wish them well.

I know we've been lacking width and decent balls coming in for Smith, but I fancy we'll be seeing some great balls splitting defences soon for the likes of the Duke and Sharp to latch onto. We have some attacking midfielders now and hope they get onto the pitch soon to show us what they can do.

I reckon Morison and Hunt will be gone in a few days now and hope Norris goes too.

Jury still out on doukara for me too elland. Some seem to love him. For a big lump he seems a bit of a wimp! Need to see more of him to form a view.

The hock seems to want to turn smith into a guy who can play in his system rather than be a plan b. Good luck with that, though to be fair he may mean just trying to work on his all round game to compliment his more obvious attributes.

Kenny was a decent keeper who didn't help his cause with a run of clangers and his weight fluctuations but he did a decent job for us on the whole and much of the vitriol comes from the 'warnock's mate' stigma. He was good with the academy lads and as has been said, didn't kick off in the press about his treatment whilst sorting out his payoff. If we all had a year on our contracts, and were frozen out we'd want a fair deal.

Likely his next deal is sorted, which is why settlement has been reached. Wish him well personally.

Morning troops. Glad to asee the back of Kenny. Never commanded his box as a keeper of his experience should have done. Don't think the Kop were that impressed when he gave them a less than flatering salute. He won't be missed.

On Smith, good that he's signed for another 3 yrs. Probably more of an impact sub than anything else. But maybe having Sharp alongside will help him. Time will tell. On Doukara, I think he is competing with Smith and Poleon for the 2nd slot alongide Sharp. Not sure midfield is his best position, but the Hock will find a regular place for him Also no rush I think to find another striker. Best to let the current crop push each other. Maybe Morison will survive as another striker, but maybe not. Best for all that Hunt leaves to pursu his career elsewhere.

Still hoping the Adryan deal gets done, as he brings something new to the club. Something we haven't had since Howson left; i.e. a really creative midfielder.

Bellusci should get his debut tonight alongide Pearce. Let's hope for continued progress and a good victory.

I think Kenny was a horrendous keeper, could not manage to collect crosses very well at all and if the ball was looping in the six yard box it was lamost always a guaranteed goal. Also thought he was quite a poor shot stopper, just made easy saves look a bit extravagant, as soon as one was a bit further away he had no chance, think he is one of the worse keepers I can remember at elland road

Good morning Matt and co from a very sunny Cote de Bardsey
I would have Grayson anytime for me he was up there with the best he made the club a lot of money with his aquistions namely McCormack and Gradel is failing was he didn't stand up to BATES
naturally pleased we have got Matt to sign a new deal a really nice lad intelligent and articulate like Shako!
Ajose needs to toughen up not a first team player for me whilst Dukara seems a bit soft for such a big bloke
We will probably know today about the other 2 players we are going to try and get
Kenny from his body language seemed uninterested to me probably go back to Sheff u
Matt have we got international clearance yet for BEllusci his partner no brainer for me COOPER

A win tonight and we will have had a decent start to the season. Hopefully the wendies will make it a yorkshire double.

Kenny weren't too bad. Not going to miss him though but didn't complain to the press and did the sensible thing / wait for a new club to come in for him prior to terminating his contract.

Really hope Adryan signs, the next Kaka who turned down Manchester to join us. Would be so sweet and looks a composed playmaker.

Don't know much about Antenucci but apparently their fans are begging him to stay and he is a leader for them. We could do with a natural leader because Pearce might not be captain material.

Exciting times ahead. Lets just hope we can chalk another 3 points up and really start to get some belief in the team.
