Once again you show what you dont know.
I think AJ is probably the best Heavyweight in the world right now.
Whats frustrating me is he will never get a chance to prove it on a world stage because his management are dicking him about.
Yes, I am sure AJ is very popular in Leicester.....<laugh>

I don't live in Leicester, so I wouldn't know ... and you are therefore wrong (yet) again <laugh>

... and patience is a virtue ... once Fury and Wilder have a 'result' neither of them will have any place to go to gain what they ultimately want other than agreeing a fight with AJ ... whatever the terms ... and AJs management are not complete fools ... they know they have to make hay whilst the sun is still shining on their charge,<ok>

I reckon AJ is the real deal but I totally agree about his management damaging his reputation.

The year before last every casual and his dog were chirping about AJ and the media were tugging him hard.

After last year and the lack of quality fights whilst his rivals boxed it out - his reputation has taken a pounding.

He needs to force a fight with one of the big guns.

I'm a Fury fan and its been great seeing a lot of the public slowly warm to him.

He's genuine and not robotic like AJ.

I think Fury is the most naturally gifted ... a fighting phenomena in fact ... with a heart as big as they come ... my fear is that whilst Tyson will strip fitter for their rematch, Wilder might just have learned some restraint ... his power is scary ...

I don't mind AJ at all - but would love it to see Tyson become undisputed world champ ... they could make a film based on it ... <whistle>

Unless, like AJ, they just want to make money, they will both make more money from their rematch than either of them will fighting AJ on his ****ing ridiculous terms.
Wilder is also an undefeated Champion and has nothing to prove. He wont be a great either.
I am hoping Fury bangs him out this time though.

See this is why AJ will never be regarded as a great.
Because all his management does is ****ing quibble with people over money, constantly.
He needs to bin his management.

If he is in the sport just to accumulate a **** ton of cash, then fair play to him, just as long as he knows that he will always be remembered as a no-mark.
Plenty of people have held titles AJ, but the people that get remembered, your Tysons, your Lewises, your Mayweathers, your Alis, they had epic encounters with the best, and won (and sometimes lost), they didnt snatch and grab a couple of belts then meander about the division fighting no named jobbers and hoovering up cash.

Whether its fear or greediness, if Joshua doesnt man the **** up and and actually fight someone of worth, he will just have to console himself with being a rich nobody.
You do realise that all of the guys you mentioned ducked fights - Tyson ducked Foreman and Lewis when he was in his prime, Lewis kept on ducking Klitchko until he was forced to and retired rather then face him again after beating him through a doctors stoppage when he was down on the cards, Mayweather kept on ducking Pacquiao and only fought years later when he was past his prime and Ali ducked Foreman for a rematch when he gave everyone else one.

Joshua is the man at the top with 3 belts - all the others should work to fight with him but don't. He actually had agreed a deal with Wilder last year but Wilder was the one that backed out.

Dethroning the old king in Klitchko to become the unified champion in a packed out Wembley stadium and the biggest ppv viewers for a heavyweight fight in years isn't the world stage?

AJ is nowhere near the biggest draw in the US, the majority of a huge purse would come from a US audience and sponsors so why should AJ get the bigger cut?

That’s why he wants to fight in the UK all the frickin time.

What are you on about?

Joshua made £20m in his last fight here in the UK - more then Wilder and Fury in total for their fight.

He is the biggest draw in the heavyweight division and it is up to others to negotiate with him - says a lot that Wilder has to offer a 50/50 cut to a drug cheat who was out for 2 years to come to US as he can't draw in his home country.

Some good points there, gypsy lads grow up learning how to fight and I agree Fury looks as though he has polished his trade well. Wilder is a poor mans Earnie Shavers but he has the ability to go far once he learns it isn't a pub car park punch up. AJ fights behind a big jab which is great with similar styled fighters but a free punching fighter like both Wilder and Fury might test him big style..

You have no idea what I’m saying, you’re making a completely different point altogether.

Show me the AJ ppv sales for US viewers.

Joe Bugner was the same, a similar fighter to AJ. Thing was there were so many good heavyweights around at that time that if you were to pole axe one then you'd be in at a title shot. Like Bugner got twice iirc

Deontay Wilder on the Anthony Joshua fight.

They offered me a ‘flat fee’ crack head money, equivalent to peanuts.”

“I said: ‘I’ll do it.’ I just basically took the lowest offer in boxing history for a unified title bout.”

“My team and I bent over backwards accepting everything they threw at us just to find out this boy is terrified of me.”

“I’m sorry guys, they played us all.” - Deontay Wilder.

I dont think AJ is terrified, but his management team is.

You think he took the lowest offer ever and they backed out? Really?

Point I am making is why should he give a **** about US when he makes more in the UK then the highest ranked American fighter does in the US?

As for his figures in the US bugger do I know or care - google them if you want to know.

Because the US bidders were putting £80m on the table ffs! It’s not AJ’s fan base, so why is he pulling massively more of that purse? They’re both champions you’re acting like Wilder is a bum that shouldn’t be paid cos AJ is a poster boy ffs, he beat an old man then a bunch of people half his size thereafter.

50/50 would have delivered him more than he could ever dream of getting in the UK.

Fury doesn’t care about the money as much so wanted the rematch in Manchester.

Wilder got $2.1m from fighting Ortiz and $14m from fighting Fury.
You're suggesting that Joshua increases that by a ridiculous amount, but he's not the draw in that fight.

Fury just likes a ruck, he loves what he does and I don't think he as ever seen it as a business. Foreman and Mike Tyson were like that in a way, Foreman's purse against Ali was a joke yet Ali needed the fight as fixed as it was. Foreman made more money from his Griddle grills.. <ok>

£80m bids? Where are you getting those numbers from as Wilder made £10m in his last fight and Fury £8m. Whyte is saying that Wilder somehow offered $50m but he is bitter that Joshua is overlooking him and wants to make him look bad.

If you want to keep it simple Joshua has 3 belts and a big draw and Wilder has 1 belt and no draw - at the very least it should be a 3/1 split. Why aren't you calling Wilder a coward too afraid to fight outside his own country?

You are really comparing Joshua's and Wilder's records? Who has Wilder beaten that elevates him in your eyes?

Fury says that but his actions speak loader then his words- remember he promised to donate his entire purse to the homeless and build them houses but then revised it to "part of his purse" and as of now around 2 months later has done sweet FA.

That's boxers mate, I fought and was around them for 12 years as an amateur and sparring partner. I was leaving the Terry Lawless stable as Bruno was moving in, the hype back then was crazy, this big bag of muscles quiet guy, he made people money but getting to know him as I did early days, he was never comfortable and natural in his boxing status. British boxing was buzzing at the time with some of the best middleweights ever and also in the lighter divisions, for me Frank was something set in stone that was ushered along in the hype. He made money for his daddies but nowhere near of what he should have done..

They both need each other to make the fight happen.

If boxer X from Lithuania has 3 belts and boxer Y from LA has 1 belt, boxer Y can offer boxer X a bigger pay day if boxer X visits LA, yet boxer X still demands more pay because he has 3 belts that he took from a washed up fighter.

Just because boxer X is Anthony Joshua (not from Lithuania obv) and he has a nice smile and a G-Wagon it doesn’t make this any different, the market is in Wilder’s country, he’s also a champion, he deserves as much as AJ no matter how many fan boys lap up his gravy.
