There’s no logic to saying losing fat at any rate is unhealthy, unless he’s starved himself, which he hasn’t.

He’s only lost about 2 stone since the summer anyway. A pound a week is healthy by any standards.
To lose that much weight he'd have to have gone on a crash diet the 10 months beforehand - the negatives to that is the reduced calories mean he would have no energy and would lose muscle mass. That 2 months in the summer would be losing weight through exercise to gain the muscle back - is it enough to gain the energy back? We will see tonight.

I think @BigFox has pretty much summed it up.

Rapid weight loss is associated with muscle loss, a slower metabolism, etc. If he’s slowed the loss down over the last few months that will have helped, but whether he’s gained enough strength and endurance back we’ll find out if the fight goes beyond half way.

He has lost @10 stone in 14 months which is nowhere near crash dieting. A top nutritionist and training programme will easily do that if the subscriber is disciplined.

For both of your curiosity, he’s discussed his diet at length recently and hasn’t even entered the realms of starving himself.

Do you know much/anything about nutrition or dieting? At his weight losing 10 stone in 14 months is very easily done without having to "crash diet"

He was following a high cholesterol diet that might have achieved the aim but could hardly be described as healthy.
Even he said the same.

This after admitting to sinking 18 pints a night for 2 years plus while he was out of the ring.

What he’s eaten may have an effect on his performance (although AJ also admitted to basically living off fried chicken as well) but losing fat won’t have any negative impact on his performance whatsoever.
 
Imo, his previous lifestyle and his significant weight loss in a relatively short period both mitigate against him having the endurance to go 12 rounds.

Having said that, it’s quite possible that Wilder would also be pretty tired by that stage.

He also had to diet between other fights, just not as much.

Not the worst thing to be eating. Pretty lean and full of protein, although wrapped in breadcrumb and deep fried obviously isn't the healthiest way to eat it.
 
Well I guess we hve our answers about Fury. What a man, took that fight after knocking out two bums, an overweight has been, and it took a dodgy judge to get Wilder a draw.
